I am So Thankful for Pure Castile Soap

Over the years I have learned that I have what they call “sensitive skin”. I’ve gotten allergy tested which provided me with a page of things to avoid, have reacted to lotions and soaps on my skin, etc.

I even went to a a dermatologist with a skin reaction I had at one point, resulting in a very large invoice in the mail accompanied by a diagnosis which consisted of two sentences typed on it informing me that I had dermatitis (a.k.a. a skin issue).

It was also recommended to me to stop using all the products (soaps, lotions, makeup, etc) I was currently using on my body until I figured out what was causing the issue.

Whew, that was frustrating! I had no idea where to start.

Switching to This Soap was a Relief

Discovering Pure Castile Soap was one of the first things that helped me transition from “smelling like cotton candy, but itching all over” to “smelling and feeling happily fresh with calm skin”.

To be frank, I don’t remember how I first learned about Pure Castile Soap. I have a feeling it was from my mother. She has a knack for discovering allergy-free products for the body, including essential oils and foods. You know the ones with the right keywords these days like: sustainable, organic, made with coconut oil, vegan, and a fair-trade product.

This definitely made the cut and I was so relieved when I didn’t have to worry about what my soap choice was doing to my body anymore.

I will say transitioning from picking it up at the grocery store to Amazon has improved the convenience immensely. I have been ordering this soap, and trying out the different varieties offered, on Amazon for at least 4 years!! I even order the small travel bottles when I go out of town.

An even more financially savvy way is to order the beast size and fill up my various cute soap dispensers around my house as needed. The 32oz size of this soap fits in my linen closet real easy.

I buy the two 32oz bottle package from Amazon. I love not having to worry about running out anytime soon.

For All My Body-Washing Needs

I use Dr. Bronner’s 18-in-1 Hemp Pure Castile Soap for all my body washing needs. I purchased these Refillable Foaming Soap Dispensers that I use in the shower, at my bathroom sinks, and in the kitchen. This soap bottle pour very nicely in any decorative soap dispenser (let’s say from HomeGoods) for hand washing throughout the house.

Pure Castile Soap can be used as an all-in-one shampoo, conditioner and body wash for bath and shower time – love it! I use it as my body wash from one of the refillable foaming soap dispensers. It pumps nicely, goes on smooth, and rinses easily. Less gooey gunk than soaps I used before for sure!

I started with the Peppermint Scented Pure Castile Soap and will admit the aroma is so helpful with waking up in the morning. I like that it has a really pleasant smell. This scent is a breath of fresh air when used as hand soaps for the kitchen sink and guest bathroom too. Other scents include: eucalyptus, lavender, tea tree, almond, rose, and citrus.

For a while now I’ve been buying the Baby Unscented Pure Castile Soap. I got my hands on it and was very content, so stuck with it. It is a very versatile scent, and again I don’t have to fret that I’ll have a skin reaction in case my body decides it doesn’t like a specific one after a while. I personally have very finicky skin!

In addition to a variety of scents, there are Pure Castile Soap bars for those who have that preference. It’s gentle on the skin and just as effective.

Oh, and it’s absolutely pet friendly! Why go shopping for a specific dog soap when this works great for them too. Love it! I just adopted a sweet dog named Sparkles and I very much appreciate her fresh scent when snuggling on the couch.

Other Fabulous Uses

Pure Castile soap is also perfectly great for other uses around the house, such as:

  • washing dishes
  • cleaning counters
  • scrubbing sinks, showers and toilets
  • cleaning human toys and pet toys
  • doing laundry
  • mopping floors

It is concentrated so can go a long way!

Sweet Gifts for Friends and Family

I delight in sharing things that bring me joy with people who are special to me. You never know if something can be a life-saver for them too!

Here are a few ideas:

  • Bars of soap added to a holiday basket
  • “Welcome to your new home” gift package
  • Travel bottles and colorful soap bars as stocking stuffers
  • Stock the guest bathroom up for when family and out-of-town friends come to stay with you
  • New parents (baby soaps)

To Sum Up My Love for Pure Castile Soap

So to sum it up, I eventually accepted that I have “sensitive skin” and consider it when viewing products to use on my body. Pure Castile soap is a brand I really appreciate.

It feels great to know I can trust the ingredients of this soap and how my skin will feel after my morning shower. I love versatility and enjoy experimenting with different ways I can use one bottle of this stuff.

I definitely recommend checking it out. . . as well as discovering the scent that you delight in the most.

Enjoy what you put on your skin. . . and on your pets.
