Hi there! My name is Catherine and this is my journal of moments and practices that help me “take life on” when I am feeling overwhelmed, underwhelmed, or just perfect (for the moment).

You’re Welcome Here

I am joyous to share with you various delights that lift and polish my smiles, as well as keep me looking forward to what new moments and days bring.

To my new friend and fellow “figuring out our steps” soul sister, I am a woman with a “glass-half-full” mentality continuing to evolve her sparkle as an elementary teacher, who feels satisfaction day to day from her routines and habits.

I also continue to learn that plot twists (those unexpected whirlwinds of events however tiny or gargantuan) have a way of bringing more light, thankfulness, and dare I say pleasure from the mundane (that box I have let my parents’ generation and my scaredy-cat tendencies keep me in).

Happy to share my habit heroes (daily adopted acts that keep me sane), products I believe are life-changers...and tid bits I've learned that help me add my own little "plot twists" to my story.
Thankful for good habits to help me “lead my own life with positivity” as much as I can when it comes to unexpected plot twists in my day to day.

I am Grateful

I love ideas and inspiration! I am a big planner in so much of what I do.

Can I just pause for a moment and give a shout-out on how thankful I am to have adopted mottos such as: “build up a cushion” and “save it for a rainy day”? (Thank you Mom and Dad). Huge in my life!

Don’t have those yet, don’t worry . . . I’ll teach ya!

I am an enthusiast for items that are versatile (denim jackets, fabric bins, lap desks, transformable decor, etc.).

It’s definitely one of the first descriptors that pop to mind when I am shopping . . . which is often. Whether it’s living room accents to add a little “plot twist” in my home, skin saviors when plot twists come at my body, or what I call ” My Habit Heroes” (like these) that help me prep myself for the unexpected.

New aspirations in my life continue to pop up and I surprise myself . . . as I am sure you do . . . when we take on novel missions. Like this.

Here We Go!

Let’s adopt this mantra:  “I will continue to be delighted by smiles, light bulb moments and mentors…right along with having my routines and plans so I feel equipped.”
